More Than Basketball brought us in to produce the third and final installment of their docuseries, The Getback: Road to Recovery, featuring Duke point guard Jeremy Roach. The episode follows Roach through the gut-punch of an ACL tear, the grueling aftermath of surgery, and the long road back to the court. From the moment he went down to the outpouring of support from coaches, recruiters, and the basketball community, this was a story about resilience, family, and keeping your eyes on the dream even when everything falls apart. We were given footage and a general direction for the episode, working closely with the producer to shape the narrative within those parameters. The result is an honest, emotional look at what it takes to come back from the injury every athlete fears most, told through the voices of Jeremy and the people closest to him.
